The Penn Brook Dolphins swim team is a fun-filled summer community. It’s the ideal chance for children to learn, exercise, race, and have fun in a low-pressure competitive environment. Each summer, about 80 kids join our swim team, which is a member of the Princeton Area Swimming and Diving Association (PASDA).
The season begins in early June with practices held weekdays after school. When local public schools are out for summer, the team transitions to morning practices, Monday through Friday. The season concludes in mid- to late-July. The team competes in five dual meets, typically held Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings against local PASDA opponents. There are also two optional invitational meets – a 10 & under “mini” meet and the PASDA Champs meet.
Swimmers will have fun while learning proper technique all four competitive strokes. Our coaching staff will also teach each swimmer proper starts, turns, and race strategy. The season concludes with our annual awards picnic.
Each swimmer will receive a team t-shirt, swim cap, and will have the option to buy a team suit.

Parent Meeting
We will hold a parent meeting on Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 PM via zoom to go over the summer season, meet the coaches, and answer any questions. https://princeton.zoom.us/my/mattcrispino
Team Suit Sale
TYR will be on-site on June 10 during practice selling team suits. They will also bring a selection of goggles for purchase.
2026 Practice Schedule
June 1-June 18 Monday-Friday:
3:45-4:45 PM for older kids (6th grade and up)
4:45-5:30 PM for younger kids (5th grade and down)
June 22 onward Monday-Friday
8:00-9:00 AM for older kids (11 and up)
9:00-10:00 AM for younger kids (10 and under)
Notes:
- There are no evening practices
- Swimmers, including 10 and unders, who have summer camps/activities that start early may attend the 8:00 AM practice
- Diving practice is staggered with swimming so that swimmers can also join the diving team without conflict

Parent Volunteer Obligations
Parents will be expected to volunteer to work at a minimum of two swim meets. Jobs include timing, scoring table, ribbons, concessions, and marshalls.
